The drive to the summit of Mt Coo-tha is well worth the vista which awaits. Excellent views of city of Brisbane and the winding Brisbane River. Take a picnic or dine in the cafe or restaurant - we did both - a picnic followed by drinks at the restaurant bar. Excellent!

It's such a stunning vista from the top, and I was surprised just how little I actually knew about Brisbane until I saw it from this birds-eye perspective. Then of course, there's the Summit restaurant. Such a great combination. Take your camera phone to shoot both the view and the meal, then wait for your friends to join you. Why not visit the gardens on the way up and the planetarium before you head back into the city.

Went to Miunt Coot-tha is convenient during day time. Bus from Adelaide Street in CBD and take about 30 mins to reach.

It's the highest spot with the best view of Brisbane. I wouldn't go as far as to describe it as a mountain, its more of a hill with a good view out over the city. The absolute best time to head up there is when fog is forecast for Brisbane. Trust me, do not miss the opportunity whenever it arises. Fog totally transforms the view. But you need to get up there early, because everyone with a camera has the same idea and you will struggle to find a good view spot if you come late!

Great place to take visitors for view of Brisbane city!
Is a very busy spot so parking can be a hassle and they probably need to provide more in the future!
Restaurant and cafes well patronaged which is great to see
This spot is a real landmark
