Visiting Alice Springs on a long tour of Australia, en route to Uluru. Enjoyed a great tour of the locality after our 2 hour flight from Adelaide. It was the AAT kings tour “A town like Alice”, which was much more interesting than we expected. Arriving from the airport at 12.25 we were pleased our room was ready. Staff pleasant on check in. First the good points- large room, with air conditioning. Double bed and a single. Fridge/tea and coffee making facilities. Otherwise the hotel is drab, very tired and showing signs of lack of maintenance/renovation which it needs. Bathroom just ok. Shower ok. Bed linens were all creased not looking fresh. Sure they were clean but not inviting. Had to get lift from within the car park! This town needs better quality accommodation considering the volume of tourists passing through. I’m not sure there was anything better in the town centre. If you just want a bed overnight it’s ok but nothing more.

This is a tired but worse than that is was a dirty hotel where it seemed little effort was made to clean the ro9 s (esp bathrooms) or outside areas. I recognise there is little choice in Alice and conditions are difficult but more can be done. Also was advised by hotel not safe tobe outside after 9pm

The rooms are not quite as well kept and modern as the website looks, a bit if an update would not go amiss.
Well situated on Todd Mall - made the room a bit noisy.
Be sure to park in the parking garage - the large parking lot outside the hotel often was smash and grab incidents with cars parked over night.

Expresso or cafe is charged $4 each in addition to the full breakfast. Otherwise you have to make your own cafe instant cafe with hot water (which was not hot anymore)Except for that the hotel is correct and well located in Alice Springs
