Having completed a circuit of the area we were staying in, looking for an ok place to eat,we arrived back at this place next door to where we were staying. it had a pleasant outdoor atmosphere with most of the tables being on the footpath. Being in a quietish suburban side street this worked really well.

We stuck to the vegetarian options with our choices and shared a very good san choy bau and then had singapore noodles and egg noodles with mushrooms etc for main. We thought it was all very good.

As it turned out we arrived at happy hour and happily consumed a tsing tao beer and a glass of wine.

The service was friendly, polite and low key. We were offered extra lettuce to mop up the san choy bau remnants without having to ask (OK it didn't break the bank, but it's the thought that counts) and our waiter made a good wine suggestion.

Overall a very pleasant meal out.

So scrumptious. I've never been a fan of Yum Cha but Fei Jai menu grabbed my attention. This is Chinese served with finesse and freshness. Will most certainly return.

Our friends recommended something different for Chinese food and Fei Jai fitted the bill. The 'go' to start with are the dumplings. Certainly not the usual dim sum, rather there is a good array of dumplings with good ingredients and flavours/spices. While I feel the price was a little high for the dumplings, we all enjoyed the food and certainly wanted more.
The main courses were creative and full of flavour.

The staff were friendly and helpful and created a good time for us all.

The price of the wines were overstated by about 20% and a negative.

Overall it was a good night and I/we would return.

Chinese cuisine with a difference. Friendly attentive staff, tables on the footpath but with an awning protection. Wines are a bit expensive however the range is extensive. Parking around there is a bit of pot luck. Get there early (6 ish) gives you a better chance of finding a spot. Recommend booking.

Very good Cantonese food, the dumplings are sensational! A really good traditional menu, pippies in XO sauce also a standout. Happy hour on certain drinks, half price between 6 and 7pm. Service started a bit slow but improved dramatically. And all very reasonably priced. Must book!
