I originally discovered Kazbah last year and I have talked about how good it was ever since.

Earlier this week my partner and I decided to go for a nice meal... Well what we thought would be a nice meal.
As soon as we walked into the restaurant it was apparent that the staff were unhappy to be at work and practically went out of their way to be rude to us.

We were not seated, our table water was not filled and the waitress became very impatient when we asked if meals came with sides automatically.

When my meal arrived it was a mass of garlic and salt, contained no potatoes (even though the menu stated potatoes) and was hardly warm.

I complained to the manager regarding the lack of potato's and was told it doesn't matter it's only the potatoes.

In the end the service charge and price of a side of rice was dropped however I am still very disappointed and will definitely not be visiting Kazbah again.

Waited 15 mins for someone to come over and take an order with only 4 tables in the venue,.. Nobody came over even after they saw us and made eye contact. We ended up going next door for far better service. Shame, wouldn’t liked to have tried it.
Train your staff better.

Hi melvilla479,

This doesn't sound like how our staff treat customers at all. But thank you for your review.

We dined here after a conference day. Well positioned with an outlook on Darling Harbour. A bit disappointing that we couldn't eat outside owing to the array of hookah pipes being smoked - but I guess that is par for the course in a restaurant called the Kazbah! The food was good and plentiful. The toilet was a bit of a hike through the shopping centre which is a negative.

The Darling Harbour area has improved dramatically since the Convention Centre and nearby Aquarium were located there. You can find lots of things to do, as well as relaxing over a drink or two in Kazbah as we did one afternoon. There are lots of good shops if that is your thing and water Taxi’s can get you over to Circular Quay if you can’t be bothered with the walk. Personally I like this area more and more because it has fresh and new feel about it.

Love the food here. Vegetarian options great and lots of choice. Love the cauliflower with eggplant and onion jam, fattoush salad, potatoes and falafel. My friends had a lamb dish and a chicken dish and the loved it. Good drink choices.
