Be realistic people: this is a BUDGET hotel, don't expect five star luxury.

It's great though. The bed is comfy, the rooms are clean (great housekeeping!) and well kept, and most of all it's QUIET. Bliss is this crazy city.

The size of the rooms might be a problem for some people (hence 4*), but it was great for me on the solo. The staff even called to ask me if everything was going okay!

Pros:
Hotel location is just perfect! Walking distance in all major tourist spots. Bars, Coffee shops and restaurants are literally around the area. Coles supermarket is just across the street. Rooms are clean and well kept. Clean toilet with eco friendly amenities. Breakfast is buffet and offers basic but good food selections of asian and western breakfast.

Cons:
-Literally self service that if you need something like adapter, fresh towels etc they will tell you to get it by yourself at the lobby. And the room temperature if you need to adjust it you have to call the reception first because it is locked. Rooms are not soundproof you can hear all the noise from the room next to you as well as the noise from the hallway.

-The lady staff/server (tall lady in her late 20s or early 30s) at the breakfast is not friendly especially to Asian. She's always in hurry to clean up the tables even if you are still finishing your food and kinda rude to some guests. She doesn't smile at all and even give sarcastic remarks, but oh she is nice to you if you are not Asian. Very racist huh! (We are frequent guests in this hotel as the company always book us here and thats what we always experience and witnessed from her.)

So there, the hotel itself is 4, But the staff rating is 2. Well thats just my opinion based on my previous stays and experience.

Really impressed with accommodation and customer service. Room change organised with minimum fuss due to personal request. All staff excellent without exception - catering, cleaning, front of house. Good value for money in centre of Sydney, and close to Paddy's market, Capitol theatre, and Chinatown.
