In Sydney for the City to Surf and we had picked up a voucher for a three course dinner with additional drinks at the Nok Nok Thai Eating House. The restaurant is on a quieter area of Darling Harbour and has a nice light and open feel and is not too noisy inside. We aren't keen on having to yell over our plates.
After tossing up between a mixed entrée or one choice of our own each, we went the mixed entrée which had to be shared. The dish included two light and delicious Curry Puffs, two tantalising Chicken Skewers with a great Satay Sauce on the side, two tasty Thai Fish Cakes with a gorgeous dipping sauce as well as two Fantastic Spring Rolls. The portions weren't tiny and it was the start of a very memorable meal.
In true to myself style, I went for the Massaman. Beef was this restaurants option, chicken is my favourite but a good Massaman makes you happy no matter the beast. I am a half glass full type of person and am not big on writing negative reviews. I give credit where it is due and Nok Nok's Massaman is right up there with the best I've had! The meat as it should be for an awesome long slow cooked dish had that perfect blend of meat and fat and just fell apart. Fantastic quality potatoes, lovely crunchy peanuts and the crowning glory of the dish, the sauce! The sauce was perfect! Perfect! Sweet, just hot enough (spice that is, all dishes were served seconds from hitting the pass), salty, sour, succulent and silky.
A just the right size Sticky Rice with Thai Custard and lovely Coconut Ice Cream to finish, and we were finished. In all we were a group of four, and we couldn't clear all the plates even after sharing around a bit. Everyone was extremely happy with the meal and the ladies waiting our table looked after us very nicely, Thank You. I won't go into everyone's choices but every dish was first class.
I hope this restaurant doesn't get too big or busy, because they have a great thing going here and I will gladly come back and recommend it to anyone.
Regards,
Graham.

We went for a farewell lunch for work colleague. We were 15 mins late, and despite confirming our table, it has been given away. We were sat outside in the cold for a bit, but they did find us a table inside before we'd even had a chance to order.

The $10 lunch menu is a bargain and the food was delicious. It was hard to get the attention of the staff at times but well worth the trek around all the works at Darling Harbour.

Have visited this restaurant many times and enjoyed every time. Authentic Thai food, good size portions and friendly smiling staff giving good service. Very nice outdoor seating to enjoy your meal and people watch, also indoor seating. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks at Nok Nok Thai, compared to many of the overpriced restaurants around Darling Harbour area. (especially the icy cold $5. Chang beers) Great place that welcomes couples, small groups and families. Definitely recommend a visit here !!

The Tofu Satay entree was fresh and tasty, and good value at $7.90. The Gapi Fried Rice was served "deconstructed" with an array of ingredients. The Moo Grob Prik Khing was too salty and the pork belly skin was tough and inedible. The meals came quite quickly, however, it took more than 10 minutes for a glass of wine to arrive. Staff were more interested in setting tables for future customers than serving drinks to current customers.
