Owner description: We are architects and we want to share our city with you. We organise intimate walking and bicycle tours that are open to the general public. We also arrange private / customised architectural tours and itineraries on request. Taking the form of a series of urban provocations, our conversations are straightforward and jargon-free exercises in story telling. Aimed at the expert-enthusiast, we want you to understand the 'why' of the city whilst exploring the most provocative and daring projects Sydney houses; works of architecture, public art and landscape that inspire and delight but also projects that reveal something of Sydney's grimy pulse. We are interested in ideas and in the drivers of city; the vibrant network of invisible forces - political, cultural, economic and environmental that give the city form. Get stung by architecture. Sydney will never look the same again. We promise!

I think this trip is very suitable to those who are very interested in Sydney contemporary
architecture as well as architectural students or architects who want to know about Sydney better. Eoghan is very knowledgable and his explanation is very vivid. He is very kind to answer us all kinds of questions.
I will take another walk someday.

A remarkable telling of the Sydney Opera House story: the rare competition and the rescued sketch that won it, the architectural inspiration, the language of the building and the engineering challenge, the prototypes and details, the dramatic sequence of the building's spaces, the Picasso mural that almost was, the finishes and interiors that might have been, the provincial politics that forced Utzon out, exile from Australia and Denmark, and ultimately his graceful re-engagement.
Really fabulous, in both the detail and the drama.

Eoghan Lewis combines history, aesthetics and good yarns to weave a multi layered impression of some of the key buildings of Sydney and how they underlie the fabric of the city. My city was illuminated and I learnt more in 2 hours than I knew previously. I thoroughly recommend this tour for locals and overseas visitors alike.

Eoghan is an inspirational and engaging speaker - able to communicate his passion for architecture and the social, cultural, and environmental history of the city he so obviously loves. Utzon's Sydney Opera House design is an underlying thread of the Tour and it is impossible to come away without sharing Eoghan's respect for this beautiful building. I can't imagine a more interesting or better way of spending a Saturday morning in downtown Sydney! Thanks Eoghan!
