This place is built up like the hawker stalls of Malaysia or Singapore. There are different restaurants offering everything from Indian to Chinese or from Thai to Malaysian to Japanese. The quality is good and the prices are reasonable.

My favorite was the fresh made Roti with the curry or the beef Rendang - it's super.

Tucked away off Kensington Street is Spice Alley. A selection of Singaporean/Malaysian, Japanese and Korean food street, both sheltered and alfresco sitting available.

Payment by prepaid cash card, or contactless/regular credit card, no cash accepted. You can order food from different stalls and enjoy with your friends. Dine in and takeaway same price, but addtional takeaway container is chargable.

The mamak mee goreng, cold teh tarik and salt & pepper freid chicken wing (A$17.50) was good in taste, food quality and value, in comparison to Sydney food pricing.

You can find teh tarik and ice kacang!

Awesome selection of cuisine for all our tastebuds. Easy to find a table. BYO or stay close to KOI for a drink.

A hidden gem. After drinks at a local bar we had dinner at Spice Alley - a Hawker style Asian "fast food" alley where you browse the offerings, pay via Card for your selection, get a number and wait for the food. We had Chinese dumplings and pork buns, follwed by Malaysian roti with dipping sauces, chicken satay sticks, and Thai pad thai noodles with egg, veges and prawns. Food was super fresh and really nice. Reasonable value for money overall considering the inner city location. Will go back for sure. Biggest challenge would be getting a table - we were lucky that one became available quickly.

Located in a small street in Chippendale the area called spice street is off Broadway and a great place to grab a variety of foods from different vendors. The atmosphere is very Asian style. Some meals not quite as large as expected for the price but fresh and tasty.
