“Beautiful surroundings, magnificent sunsets. Wonderful!”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This was our second stay at Glan yr Afon, and again it was perfect. The accommodation is first class, with all the amenities you could possibly want; all of a very high standard. The garden is lovely, offering wonderful views and glorious sunsets. It is perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The hosts, Nigel and Judy are delightful and go out of their way to make your stay trouble free. Will definitely return - wonderful!

“Fantastic cottage and location”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Loved this cottage, right next to an estuary, so you could sit in the garden, with a glass of something or cup of tea and just look at the fabulous view. Only a short walk and your down by the river, if you like it being quiet and serene this is definitely the place for you. But if you like places to visit there is a theme park down the road, plenty of Castles , gardens and quiet beaches. To be honest the pictures on the web site don't do it justice, it a lot bigger than you think, very well equipped and the beds nice and comfortable, its like going home for holiday. Its definitely a place I would go back to again.

“Gorgeous, peaceful location and a house that has everything and more!”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

What a gem!
The house is spacious and comfortably fitted 4 adults and a 4 yr old child in 3 beautiful rooms. Feels like home away from home with personal touches dotted around the house. Bedding, linen and towels all new, white and crisp. Bathrooms squeaky clean.
The setting of the house is simply stunning with river views from every window in the front of the house. We had good weather and were able to spend time in the garden playing with an assortment of games available (swing ball, tenpin bowling, boules).
Sites to visit which are breathtaking on a sunny day include Barafundle Bay and st Govan's Chapel.
Tenby is gorgeous, as well as Pembroke Castle. Folly's farm is great for kids. Had a great meal at the Boar's Head pub.
Big tesco in Haverfordwest to stock up on all groceries.
Hosts Nigel and Judy are great!
Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, somewhat remote but stunning getaway. Hope to return there one day!

“Lovely, comfortable cottage in a superb setting”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is charming, comfortable and well equipped and the owners next door helpful and hospitable. The setting is superb. We loved this part of Pembrokeshire and will be back as there is still so much to see.

“2nd time here and booking next year already!”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We just love it here! It is such a comfortable and tranquil home but not too far away from towns, beaches and beauty spots that Wales has to offer. We are here for the 2nd year running and will be booking for next year without doubt! Last year I was sat in front of the roaring fire......this year I am enjoying a cold wine on the patio listening to the birds chirp and watching the still waters - you cannot get much better!
The owners are so welcoming and thoughtful, the location is perfect, the accommodation is a high standard throughout and the view is stunning. Recommend Lawrenny Arms for lovely home cooked food with fantastic views too.
