Me & my partner had our first meal here on Saturday evening & it certainly won't be our last! The food was great value for money, very tasty & good portion sizes. This place is set in a lovely little village & the atmosphere was friendly & welcoming, toilets very clean & modern too! The staff were very polite & tentative, making sure we had everything we needed. The only slight criticism would be is that the burger we had wasn't a proper burger, more of a processed one than anything else! Having said that the rest of our meal, including the starter was delicious so it wouldn't put us off eating here again

We visited on a Sunday after a little drive. We saw the plough and thought we would take a look. We where pleasantly surprised as as you look at the pub the frontage it lets it down. Once you step inside it has a lovely feel and great decor. The staff and locals where very friendly, They have a nice beer garden and also a sports room showing football etc. We have a quick look at the menu and although we had a panini the choice and price for all of the food was brilliant. I had a small steak and onion panini which came with curly fries and side salad for £4, great value. As well as good food they had a great selection of local ales. This place is a great find and i would strongly recommend it if you visiting or travelling through.

Traditional carved ham, egg and chips..£7.50...chips were reheated and soggy. Two thin poor pieces of ham, surrounded by fat. Ham looked decidedly pale to the extent that I actually smelt it...very poor value..certainly well less than £1 of food on the plate...But the chips the chips yak...strange that nice villages can't support a decent pub..Sat evening on a bank holiday and hardly anyone in only one other couple eating and soon as they finished they were off...as were we. Don't recommend at all.
