Nearly missed it as it was nearing 3pm when we reached. The volunteer was a little gruff but recommended my sons to climb onto a real tractor for photos. Many many tractors for the big vehicle enthusiast. Worth the walk across from Caversham Wildlife Park. Free but donations appreciated.

It is truly an experience, to see this collction of tractors from the past, and realise how hard and slow it must have been to cultivate large areas of land, with these machines. This Tractor Museum, is a real credit to those who have set it up and keep the display so neat.

This is an excellent tractor museum, which features a large range of beautifully restored tractors and agricultural machinery.

As such, it is a fascinating specialty museum.

The displays include tractors from the earliest days, as well as an interesting display of locally made Chamberlain tractors.

In addition, there's an engaging display of the interior of an old farming home, as well as other agricultural machinery.

It's a large museum- for someone who is interested, it would be worth allowing at least a couple of hours to see all of the exhibits.

Also, it's worth checking their website when you're planning your visit, as the museum (volunteer run) is open only on certain days of the week. On some weekends, they have display days, when they take tractors out and give them a run!

The museum is located within Whiteman Park- besides this museum, there are several other land transport museums as well as family leisure opportunities- hence, even if this museum only appeals to some members of the family, there may be something else in the vicinity which is more compelling for those who don't share an interest in tractors!

Highly recommended- if this interests you
