After several cities, sought refuge in this glorious little village just north of Madrid. A stunning, sleepy and tranquil mediaeval town. Found this hotel online, and made contact with Miguel who accommodated us in a charming room, in this carefully restored old stone and timber building. Could have stayed there for much longer, and hope to return some day. Miguel was charming, welcoming and helpful. Because of some technical glitches, I inadvertently paid twice for our accommodation. When I discovered this a couple of weeks later, Miguel was very helpful and prompt in reversing one of the payments.
An added bonus is the proximity to El Lavadero de Patones, about 40 metres away, highly recomended for dinner.More
