We are staying in Ghizzano....and advised that this Tenuta was worth a visit.....we decided to drive there in the afternoon on our way back from Pisa ...and I'm so pleased we did......drive to Montelopio and drive through the village and onto the only track at the other end and keep going till you can go no further! .....and you've arrived....it is signposted from the track....but you can't believe you are going in the right direction....if your in a sports car....good luck.....On arrival we were welcomed into a beautiful Tuscan farmhouse with arched brick ceilings....well decorated and sympathetically furnished....we were offered water...still or sparkling....and wine ...red or white......simple......on the night there was no choice in menu....though if you were a vegetarian they would have accommodated you......antipasto misto with the most beautiful finely sliced and flavoursome salami and sweet ham.....polpette and a deep fried vegetable roll.....then....a sort of cheese on toast with ham and anchovy butter.....scrummy.....another cheese with pink peppercorns......then ravioli and tomato sauce with basil.......then a choice of wild boar sausage and beans...or a steak......then panna cotta or chocolate mousse.....all for €30.....it was all delicious.....ok never going to set the culinary world on fire....but a fabulous meal with great company.....my wife.......in a lovely setting.......service was very friendly and attentive...beware though this is a full hearty meal...don't fill on bread which though delicious was not needed...a lovely evening and highly recommended..

Very nice meal, relaxed and great views. No menu, so just sit and eat. I put our dishes below since the website is vague, but imagine it changes frequently.

Focaccia with sliced meats
Rosemary Stuffed Tomatoes and Polenta with Ragu
Salmon and Ricotta mousse
Ravioli in tomato sauce
Roast pork and baby potatoes

During our holiday in August 2016, we celebrated our wedding anniversary at this superb location. The very charmant host Paolo cooks definitely with love. Antipasti, primi, secondi, principale, dolce ... everything was excellent! As a proper chef he joined us at table, explaining the choice of menu. Paolo offers a choice of 2 dishes during every course. Vegi? No problem ... Paolo adapts on the fly. So if you have the chance to spent some time in Toscane, please visit Paolo and sent him our regards.

We have visited twice in the past week.
We has to go back because we ALL felt so welcome.
Laura and Paulo made us feel so welcome and made a fuss of our grandchildren.
Food and wine e is great- my wife and daughter are vegetarians with allergies yet they were catered for without any fuss.

Great meal here in July. Four-course meal (antipasti, prime, second, and dolce). They also provided vegetarian food for one of my daughters. Fixed meal for 30 Euros a head, including very quaffable wine.
My only small criticism was it was difficult to find, down a dirt track. A little better signposting wouldn't go amiss.
