The night in the Varanger lodge was the highlight of our trip to Norway! The location is perfect: just behind the Nesseby Church, so close to the shore that your toes almost touch the Sea. The lodge itself was magnificent: Very chick and stylish but built respecting ancient materials and traditions of the area. The atmosphere was relaxing and harmonious.
The best part of the place was the landscape window facing to the Arctic Sea. The view was magical: We spent the night sitting on the couch and watching salmons passing by on their way to the nearby rivers.
Also the wood-heated sauna was a great and highly recommended experience. You can even heat it by yourself if you want!
Just a few hours by car from Kirkenes, and 40 km from Vadsø, you find a lovely place by the Varangerfjord. A superb place to stay the night, and what a wiew from the livingroom. Nice Sauna as well. You can also book a trip on the fjord, fishing king crab. Higly recomended.
This place is really nice and unique with the spectacular landscape! Sauna was really good and kingcrab safari unforgetable experience!
