Let's start with the positives, the staff was friendly and helpful.
The rest was just bad! We paid 2200baht per night prior seeing the room. Once we got in our room 'with a garden view', I was shocked! The room was filled with strong mouldy smell and hundreds of mosquitoes. Walls in the main room were dirty and the ones in bathroom coved in mould with flaky paint! What made us laugh was an 'art' on the wall, which probably had a picture earlier there which they painted around it. Bed was large but very noisy. Overall, I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone I know. In addition, I didn't enjoy swimming in Bang Tao as there are thousands of see lice in the water.

Cool bungalows right at the long, excellent, sandy beach. Staff very helpful, calm place with good breakfast and excellent deal for lobster in the evening. Why not five out of five? Outside furniture not functioning for the family of four to gather, quality of the bathroom, selection of food could be better, a bit tricky to adjust A/C, sun always from behind.

The hotel is nicely located on the beach. We took a bungalow room, which was confortable and decorated in traditional Thai style. The breakfast is good and well-served. The beach is calm and really big (7 km !!). The hotel is relaxing as it is located at the extreme south of the beach, not too close to the other luxurious and loud hotels. There are also really nice restaurants nearby (including the excellent Palm seaside restaurant, awarded best Thailand's restaurant a few times !).

Room Tip: We advice the bungalow rooms, beach front.

Yes it could with minimal changes
its a nice outlook directly on the beach, well cared for and tended gardens
the beachfront rooms have been spruced up, new TV's big fridge, new aircon, nice enough bathroom
BUT
The bed is Rock Hard, excessively so
The pillows,horrible use a jumper,
No top sheet, just a prickly crotched thing that was absolutely horrible to try and sleep under
The aircon, although new, started a tick, tick noise and sporadically got so loud that we turned it off
all so easily fixed and would elevate the quality of this property

Pity.. we checked out..

The resort is in a lovely setting, right on beach side. Room was big and well decorated. However for the price we paid, I expected a good internet signal - which was very very poor not even allowing me to send emails. Also the TV was old and had fuzzy grainy screen.
