We ate lunch in la Pinte at the Roseraie and took the daily "Menu du Marché". we started with a risotto, then had lamb chops and finally a chocolate macaroon with passion fruit sorbet. The dishes were good, and perfectly seasoned. However, compared to other similar restaurants we found the price expensive - 59frs for the menu and with a nice half bottle of Syrah, water and coffee the total was close to 170frs for two. Which is a lot for what we ate.

The main restaurant looked rather nice and has a nice view across the plain of the Rhône to the mountains. I think they have a large terrace in summer. The Pinte is tiny - maybe only 12 covers?
The people running the restaurant are very friendly and we had no complaints about the service. The Ladies bathroom is rather "OTT" and could do with re-decoration... but you do not go to a restaurant for the loo!!

We had 6 dishes and 3 were absolutely divine. Add to this, one of the best wine selections of regional wines and excellent service and you have the trappings for an extraordinary gastronomic experience. Make it a ¨must¨ if you are ver in the area. You won´t regret it.

We made the mistake of visiting La Roseraie on a weekday evening in early autumn. We were the only guests in a large if rather mournfully-lit dining-room. A shame, because each dish was beautifully cooked, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices for both food and wine were fair. There is an outdoor terrace with orange trees, and you can eat figs from the restaurant's own garden. So lunch when it's sunny is much the best time to visit La Roseraie. Two recommendations: better signage is needed on the cantonal road for first-time guests, and a slightly more cheerful mood could be struck in the dining salon at night.

La Roseraie in Yvorne is fifteen minutes from Montreux and thirty minutes from Lausanne. The food was superb from start to finish and the service was excellent. You have a choice of eating in the gastronomic restaurant, which is pricey but worth every centime, or the adjoining brasserie, at a lower cost. It is the same chef for both. We went for the gastronomic experience and were glad we did. We definitely will return and recommend it wholeheartedly.
