“Regina RICA- Prayer, ”

Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia

"Pray,Rest , Mesmerized and Admire the Scenic Place"
Very organize, lots of security personnel, and volunteer!
Relaxing and refreshing.
There is place for every thing: the parking area is good; Rest room is acceptable ; food is quite expensive but nevertheless it's good.

The trail uphill to Mama Mary is enough to reflect on yourself
They offer prayer for your family for a love offering of P20 per family name.
If you want to leave your foot print, love offering of P500.00
Also available the relics: candle rosary etc.

I didn't have the chance to ask why they used Ilongo words for
Kubo & Kainan and other amenities inside the RICA.
Maybe the administrator or head Nun is Ilongo?

For commuter;
Go to Shaw and look jeepney -P58.00or van-P70.00 bound to Tanay, hop to Tanay Terminal and look for Sampaloc Jeep -P27 going to Regina Rica then hop to highway with "Regina Rica" sign. Tricycle going to RICA is P20.00 per head (capacity of 5-6 ) but if you want to rent -P120.00

As of writing, we've been to this place thrice already and on each occasion, it gives us a sense of peace and solemnity. An experience we can never trade for anything else.

The place is a bit far. Take note that on regular days, it gets to be busy in the COGEO and Masinag area. Other than that, it's smooth going to Tanay since the roads are so wide. Just be careful with motorcycles as they get to be a little competitive on these roads.
The first time we went there, was a Sunday (coming from Quezon City) and took off at around 6:30am. We got there at 7:30am. No traffic.

What i liked about the place:

- organized - There's a holding area where you'll be briefed of the Rules and Regulations.
- well-maintained - There are volunteers and staff that maintain the area's cleanliness.
- respectful staff - Majority are friendly, there was just one incident that one staff (don't wanna mention) we thought was a bit rude when giving debriefing.
- Place - it's big enough to accommodate "a Lot" of people and the parking is not scarce, too.
- weather - since it's in the mountains, the air is so cool. Just don't forget to bring umbrella.

There's also a mass, so if you go there early (they open at 8am) you can catch the mass at 11am. They also have a mass scheduled at 3pm.

Shuttle is also available with a minimum cost of 5 pesos if you don't want to walk or if you have elders with you. Just be careful as it's a bit a small.

The place was so relaxing. Its a very nice place to meditate and pray. The sisters were so friendly and accomodating. I am so glad there is a place like this in Rizal province. Will definitely visit again.

What an awesome place. It's perfect both for devotees and non-devotees alike. The place requires silence among visitors as it is meant for contemplative praying, as you walk the stairs up to the top of the hill where a huge replica of Virgin Mary sits. Beneath the mantle of the Virgin Mary is an adoration chapel and it is a spiritual experience that you must not miss. You can take the Labyrinth Walk if you have more time and experience contemplation and praying for your intentions. There's mass at the chapel beneath the hill, check the website for schedule Also please be observe the dress code which is strictly enforced.

The most impressive religious shrine I have ever been. The layout of the shrine was well thought of and every structure is beautifully built. They have scheduled masses at the airy and spacious hill chapel. There is a restaurant and scattered souvenir and beverage kiosks. Ample parking area, rest spaces, and very well trained staff. But for a place of worship I feel that it is a bit too commercial. Almost everything has price on it.
