We stayed for four nights and wanted to leave after the first. Bill the new manager certainly has his work cut out to bring this place back up to a reasonable standard, good luck Bill. It was nice meeting you and we are sure you can make this place a welcoming and comfortable resort.
A few positives to start; staff are friendly and willing but need trained in basic skills. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, bed was large and comfy, shower room was ok. Situation is impressive with great views over the sea, especially nice sitting in pool bar. This resort is miles away from anywhere, the drive from airport is over an hour and onto unmade roads.
Some tips for improvement; the whole place looks unloved and run down. From the outside the rooms look like concrete shacks, a coat of paint would improve the whole look of the place.
We had no hot water at all for the four days we stayed, not what you expect at this price.
Buy somewhere for guests to sit by the pool, there were total of 3 sun beds, when we asked for two we were told they don't have any. Staff then moved wooden chairs from elsewhere on the resort to the pool but these were so old that we were covered in paint that was flaking off.

The pools are nice but we were not convinced they were clean, there was a suspicious milky/cloudy appearance that put you off.

Bar staff: after a long journey, I was looking forward to a lovely cold G&T which was on the drinks menu. It took 20 minutes to arrive and was warm with a cherry in it and barely a hint of any gin.some basic training needed on how to make the drinks on the menu.
Our first evening meal took over an hour to arrive and then everything came all together and cold. Meals for the rest of our trip were better and we learned to have the starter and order main course afterwards.

Breakfast is a buffet, it would not take much to have a member of staff cooking fresh eggs to order and make the experience much better. It was stone cold and inedible. After that we learned to get there earlier if we wanted it warmer.

It was unfortunate that it was raining and windy on our 2nd day thus we werent able to enjoy the sea. The good thing was we're the only guests as the others either cancelled or re scheduled. Their food was excellent!

We had a lovely time going around the place for an afternoon day tour. It has amazing view of the sea. We were hoping to see the islands near the resort but the fogs are quite heavy due to the rainy weather.

The service crew needs further improvement. They are a bit slow in serving our food considering there were few guests and we were the only people eating at their restaurant.

We went down the cliff side and had taken amazing photos. Also, management should check safety improvements since the railings are a bit old and rocks also quite slippery.

Antulang is a lovely resort about an hour's drive from Dumaguete city. Nestled on a cliff it has beautiful views of the sea and a spacious area. It's a great place to go for a weekend r&r trip. Admittedly, the resort has seen better days. You will notice that it is old, but the good thing is, it is not in disrepair. Still those expecting gleaming furnishings and brand new high tech amenities would do best to temper their expectations. The resort is neat and clean but it shows its age. Diving can be done but with prior arrangement. Food is fair to middling. This resort would be best for those seeking for a little r&r or a staycation for couples or the family.

Room Tip: Get the suits with the private Jacuzzi tubs
