We recently stayed here for two weeks in a two bed bungalow. We had hired a car, which I say is definitely a must as the resort does not have a lot of life around it.

The bungalow itself was fine, though the limited cooking facilities mean that if you are looking to self-cater, you will be struggling to cook anything of any complexity. We cooked pasta and pizzas and it served us well.

The pool was good and most times not busy. The local beach has a secluded section away from the main drag and this was great to swim in and jump the waves, when the sea was choppy.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and this was a good resort to be based to visit all the local areas.

Chania is still my favourite place in Greece! You are about ten minutes away by car...

Thank you for staying at Creta Vitalis. We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to be able to offer you our services again in the future. I would only like to clarify that the bungalows offer a mini stove, which allows our guest to prepare hot meals. They do not feature large kitchens as in our homes as obviously illustrated in the photos of our site.

We stayed for a week in July. Parents and two teenagers. The place is nice, clean and reasonably well kept. Service is good and friendly. It is easy to find by car. The beach nearby is great. It is located next to a small but busy road without any sidewalks. I preferred to use the car to the shop a few hundred meters up the road since it was difficult to walk along the road. The pool was good and children can use the area safely (but should not walk outside of the area because of the road).

We had a family bungalow. It was newly refurbished and in a good condition. The bathroom had high standard. It was located close to the road. The traffic was quite noticeable from the balcony, but not a problem at night when the doors was closed. The beds was new but very hard. This was solved promptly by the friendly staff by adding an extra mattress.

The family bungalow was listed with "two bedrooms" on hotels.com. This is a misleading description. There is one bedroom with a big bed. The other room is a living room with two beds and a tiny kitchen workbench. There is no table inside. This was not a problem for us, since we only used the bungalow to sleep and used the balcony for eating breakfast, but it was quite cramped.

Room Tip: Family bungalow is very small without a living room.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Creta Vitalis and we hope to be able to offer you our services again in the future. The description is not misleading as the family bungalows have 2 bedrooms with a connecting door, as shown clearly in the photos of this room category. ιIn addition to this, bungalows by default are small apartments.

Only the 2-bedrooms apartments have 2 bedrooms with separate doors and an extra living/dining area. This is also shown in the photos. I am pointing this out as you didn't have a problem but other guests have to be very careful to make the right selection which will satisfy their requirements. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.

This place is Greek through and through. From the Mediterranean ambience created by colourful trees, to the sight of the splendid sunsets idling on the azure sea.

The breakfast is equally Cretian. The thick Greek yoghurt with proper honey awaits you every morning. As does the smile of the owners everytime they see you.

Our stay has been a genuine delight. Thank you.

Stayed for 7 days and felt really well looked after by everyone there. Although their English is very basic, the reception team did all they could to help, recommend and accommodate our requests. The rooms are basic but super clean, the housekeepers do a great job. Again, breakfast is basic but served in a nice, clean, cute room. If traveling to the area again, I would definitely re-book.

We booked this hotel to be near the airport for an early morning flight so the location for that was good. This is a minimalistic, no frills hotel. The pictures appear better than the reality of what you get. We were disappointed by the quality.

We are sorry for your disappointment. Our photos are realistic of what you get and in fact we often hear from our guests that the premises look better in reality. The hotel is definitely not minimalistic.
