Warm and friendly staff, nice rustic-elegant ambiance, clean and well organized. The menu is short which means food is fresh and daily made. We had homemade gnocchi which were delicious, meat balls and peas were so tasty, desserts were really good and the price was very fair.
Everything was delivered with a great genuine and sincere smile.....what else??

Our second summer back at La Pineta and it remains our favourite place to eat in the area! Friendly service, varied menu and outstanding quality of food- with the "fettuccine al ragu", "rigatoni alla carbonara", vitella and pizzas standing out as our family's favourite meals. Always an easy decision to make to eat here!

Unlike the emphemeral ristorante of most regions, this one is a homage to the cuisine of the sabina. An area that spans the appenines north of Rome. Most weekends you will find the restaurant filled with Romans who drive out to the sabina to experience the ambience of the mountains and the freshness and precision of the food. The menu here has not changed in decades and the restaurant comes into it's own at feragosta and the feast of Giovanni Battista on the last Sunday in August when you can eat a set priced meal of antipasti, three pasta courses and three meat courses, dolce and digestivi and wine. Ravioli di cervo, cinghiale (boar), etc, etc. More a monument of Sabine culture than a restaurant.

Peppino's is truly a wonderful experience. I have never eaten so much food in one sitting and frankly couldn't stop eating. The fettecini Ragu was incredible. There is only one place to go for steaks in the region. I would dine at Peppinos every night if I could.

This family run restaurant is tucked away in the Sabine Hills, north of Rome. It is at the end of the track, nestled amongst the pine trees. For value for money and fresh food, it is an excellent choice. We very first brought freshly made pizza bianca with olive oil and rosemary, we had to stop ourselves from greedily eating the whole basket. It was followed by freshly made tortellini with tomatoes and olives and a main course of grilled lamb and salad, perfectly cooked and tasty.
Washed down with local wine, water and coffee the whole thing came to an amazing £12/head. Closed on Wednesday. Worth the effort to seek it out.
