We enjoyed our short stay here as the hotel has a lot going for it. It's a great location, so near the beach and dunes, and the gardens are tranquil, extensive and well-kept, with good recreational opportunities. The public rooms are equally extensive and impressive and the pool area offers all you need.
On the downside, the rooms are dated and fairly unattractive (ours had a strange steep step in it), the food is no better than average overall for a hotel of its type, and the staff were rather less friendly than we experienced elsewhere in the Canaries.
On balance the plusses outweighed the minuses but we could understand why the local word was that the place is planned for demolition and replacement in the not-too-distant future.More
