We calculate this to be our tenth visit and so far our visit is excellent, normally we would come in October, but we are a bit earlier this time and the hotel is noticeably busier. Last year we went to Tenerife instead (as no direct flight from London to Gran Canaria) and wished we were here instead, as our chosen hotel whilst a stunning building had that chain hotel soulless feel which is certainty not the case here.
So in two years what has changed, not a lot really, some welcome improvements, new equipment in the gym, plus positive changes in the Esencia and the La Bodega Restaurants which are excellent and the best they have ever been, the chateaubriand is well worth the supplement, we were guided to chose medium as opposed to our normal medium rare which was perfect. Many of the staff and management are the same as before and for consistency this is one of the best hotels we have stayed at and certainly good value for money.
This is not a hotel aimed highly at the British market and attracts a variety of nationalities, which suits us just fine, but may not appeal to some going by some of the reviews.More
