RIU Palace Meloneras staff are amongst the best I have experienced. Always helpful and always smiling. Suspect on going high level training, so standards are maintained! Very, very good. Sometimes difficult to find a table in the (main) self service Restaurant but food choice and quality again very good. The 2 specialist Restaurants (min 2 days advance reservation) are perhaps a bit lacking in ambiance and the food is VERY different but well presented. Same wine list in all places - expect to pay £30+ for a decent bottle, so not cheap. Our room (5026 - superior twin/double) was spacious, immaculate and comfortable. (Extra £20 to use the safe a bit odd?) Shower only but very good pressure at both outlets. Beware occasional sudden temperature changes! 4 good Pools & plenty of sun loungers despite the usual early morning towels! (4 adjacent beds were 'reserved at 0730 every day but rarely occupied until 1500hrs!) I would guess average guest age last week was probably over 60 but there you go! Certainly there were many younger guests but definitely a minority. Entertainment ends at 11pm - there is a clue!
Overall very good. My only observation would be to suggest a better quality of WC paper!More
