The title really says it all, you get what you pay for. a Scandic hotel is a middle class business/family no nonsense hotel with soap and shampoo dispensers fixed to the bathroom wall. Cleanliness OK. Cerntral location. Friendly staff. Some Scandics give you good dark brew coffee at breakfast, this one not.

I was staying hotel one night. There was hot in the room and now window. Decoration of hotel was like in "cruise boat to Sweden".
Service was friendly, but the facilities and rooms are old and not nice. Location is good, railway station is nearby and campus area is quite near (1 km).

I visited first time in this new Scandic hotel that previous was Cumulus.
Room was totally renovated and was very nice and clean. But... room temperature was +26 and AC didn't work and there wasn't possibility to open window. TV was new but I had to adjust it to work by myself. Restaurant was ok and Ceasar sallad too but not the best one. Staff was very friendly, great job.

Dirty and old room, had trash on the floor and stains on the bed. The room requires updating. Won't go ever again. Luckily stayed for only one night. Only plus was the good breakfast, but that's always good in Scandic hotels in Finland.

This was my first visit to this hotel. The meeting room section has recently been renovated and it looks good. :) The rooms, bathrooms and corridors aren’t, they are dated! Especially the showers! ;( (**) The hotel itself is in downtown! Typical Scandic breakfast, nothing special, a good breakfast! Good service - a smile on their faces ALWAYS (that is why ***)
