We picked this hotel because it was right over the Austrian border and seemed like a good place for a one night stay. The hotel has a nice restaurant downstairs that was pretty full. We had already eaten dinner but had appetizers and desserts, which were delicious.

We were given a bigger room than booked because we needed an extra bed, which was a nice surprise. But the room decor felt dated. The bed was comfortable for me. I kept sinking in the middle and the pillow was very flat.

Breakfast was included but it was very average. I’m glad they made fresh eggs for us.

Didn’t try any of the facilities but the lobby area and restaurant were well decorated.

I love to stay at family run hotels as you always get extra good care from the staff. The Location was perfect, in a quiet area of Kufstain with great mountain views. We had a big room on the 4th floor. The room was immaculately clean and had updated furniture and a most comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious and had a separate toilet. Upon checking in we met the most charming and helpful Simone, who gave us maps of the area together with the "Kufstein Card" and other tips about the region. In the morning she greeted us at breakfast, offering Tea-Coffee and eggs that were cooked according to your choice. The buffet had lots of food to choose from. I loved the heathy part with vegetables, nuts, yogurt and fresh fruits. My husband liked the selection of local cheese and ham. In the evening we ate at the hotel's restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a great meal. The Mixed fish platter was fantastic. We enjoyed the hotel for 4 nights and we will definitely return and stay here again.

I highly recommend this hotel. It is a typical Austrian alphine hotel. It is extemely well kept and modern with keeping with traditional Austrian styles. Being family run gives it a special welcoming feel.

Always a pleasure to return to this lovely family run hotel and restaurant ! Telser family hospitality is outstanding... as well as the entire staff which is really an extended family. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast choices are plenty and the restaurant is first class. Thank you Hans, Rosa, Simone, Philipp, Michael, Sandro and Sandra, .... looking forward to our next trip to Kufstein and the Alpenrose. ... and don't forget to visit the Riedel glass factory right down the street.

It is hard to find fault with the Alpenrose Hotel (except for perhaps closing their restaurant for two days over a Sunday and Monday/Austrian holiday). Thankfully the practically adjacent Gasthof was serving (excellent) meals for dinner, because dinner anywhere else would have required either a 15 minute walk or a car ride.

The hotel is, well, perfectly fine. The room was larger than the usual European room; the furnishings were basic but comfortable, and the linens were fresh and plump. Our room had a balcony overlooking the apartment building across the street; but just beyond that we could view the pasture where the cows were sent each morning, and the sound of the cowbells was enchanting. A pleasant discovery, too, was that the bathroom was expansive, offering both a tub and shower, but alas, no robes to relax in.

Oddly, the Nespresso (or similar) coffee arrangement only provided coffee for one person and espresso for another. Small matter, for the breakfast buffet was more than adequate, with fresh offerings of yogurt, a few meat and cheese selections, and fruit, muesli, and vegetables. Made-to-order eggs were also available.

The WiFi worked consistently well. The hotel is about a 15 minute (easy) walk to the sights of Kufstein. The staff are terribly thoughtful and friendly.
