What can I say, apart from 'I wish we didnt have to leave so early'. I was only staying for the 1 night, but the communication I had with Romney was just amazing. She couldn't have been more helpful, she went out of her way to make sure mine and my daughters stay was perfect, and our stay was just that. It was more like staying with a friend. The Manor itself is rather impressive, the rooms are romantic, with four poster beds which are nice and comfy, and the bath rooms are amazing, dont let the fact there shared put you off as this never posed a problem. The stand out for us was in the morning, after a rather nice hearty breakfast, where the choice was above and beyond, we were invited to stay as long as we liked, it was really relaxing, not being under any pressure to have to be out by 'a certain time'. My daughter found herself helping out in the stables and the field with Romneys daughter, which she just loved, and had it not been for other commitments would have happily stayed and done all day. I intend on arranging another visit soon, just a really nice place to be.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 7 month son, along with some friends who were also attending a wedding with us in Lechlade which is a 5 minute drive down the road.

We were greeted in the car park before we had even unloaded and taken inside the house which was just beautiful, like an old farm house, and decorated accordingly with in keeping furniture and decor. We were offered tea and cakes, more than we could eat which was a lovely way to arrive.

Our bedroom was huge, and even with the travel cot put up there was still a large amount of room to move about, even with the HUGE bed and an armchair and sofa.

Breakfast was again more than we could eat with a monster selection of pastries, cereals, freshly made bread and a cooked breakfast. They even went to the trouble of getting in kids food especially for the children.

The service was just wonderful all the time and we were generally made to feel like we were part of the family. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, it was a beautiful home in a beautiful part of the countryside which was worth every single penny. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Room Tip: Double rooms are all have king sized four poster and are all very very large .

I stayed at this wonderful B&B this week having booked last minute (the week before). I throughly enjoyed my stay and was made to feel extremely welcome.. the rooms were amazing.. a four poster bed. The two bathrooms are shared by 3 bedrooms.. this is a 400year + house - they didn't have ensuites back then and they have kept all the original features of this wonderful old house. There is a drawing room downstairs for guests to use and the breakfast room is just a touch of class. Breakfast was as fresh as the eggs collected that morning from the chooks in the garden.. keep your eye open for the peacocks... plenty of parking round the back. Lovely walks just 5 minutes from the B&B, along the river Thames and the Buscot Locks... I would certainly recommend this wonderful B&B...
