If you want to have a serene holiday with the whole family, far from the busy beer bars on the other side of the island, then parama is the place to go. We stayed there for 8 days, with the grandparents and our 2 year old. The Resort has no beachfront, but something much better. A free shuttle boat to a secluded private beach, which is really Paradise on Earth. It was breathtaking. The staff is extraordinary friendly and went above and beyond to fulfill all our wishes. Breakfast is good and plenty and staff are quick and helpful. One day our little one started crying, so they started playing with her, so we could finish our meal in silence. The rooms are clean and spacious. I loved the wooden design and interior and the beds are quite comfy. There are TV with various channels. One highlight is feeding the fish and turtles at the ponds at the restaurant. The pool area is small but very relaxing and the little pier in front of the Resort is like a picture postcard. Why a view. All in all we loved this place and can’t wait to return.

I guess what's most striking is how Parama advertises with pictures that do not correspond to reality. The rooms displayed are actually only available if you pay a price premium. If not, you are transferred to crappy rooms at a resort next door (which they bought and changed into the name: Parama 2.0). So we ended up in a mini room, with dirty towels and old sanitary.

The breafast buffet was ok, but limited in choice and because they didn't mention what was being served we didn't actually know what we were eating.

Lastly, as was already mentioned by others, the hotel is far away from anything and considering the quality, not worth staying at for more than a night.

First, it's NOT beachfront. There's no beach. Rooms disappointing, no phone, no place to sit, safe not working, but full of insects, bees and bugs. Maximum 2star but definitely not 5star. The management is unprofessional and speaks almost no english. If you complain, the speak together in thai and let you wait. Once we wanted to drive with a boat to the other island. The "manager" sent us back to our room, "driver pick you up in half an hour". We waited 2 hours and nobody came. Back on the reception I heard a stupid excuse like "today no boat, bad weather". Instead of saying I'm sorry, they kept speaking in thai together.

There is no Beachfront! Wifi not working or really slow. Receptionist unfriendly. Clean, but a lot of insects! No 24h Sevice. No phone in the room. They say, boat to beach is for free. We asked in advanced, next they reception say, yes go to your room, we will pick you up. After 4 hours, 4pm, calling them by mobile, they say weather is not good, instead of excuse. Breakfeast is ok, good coffee. Food to expensive for dinner. Better go to Happy House or the Restaurant beside the road. Extra charge for fuel when renting motorbike, bad quality. For away from everything. Beautyfull landscape. Go to Longbeach, rent a bungolow there, much better. Very Dissapointing!

This placed totally exceeded our expectation in most of the way, beautiful waterfront setup, wood everywhere, turtles swimming next to you, nice spacious rooms and good service. Only reason I reduced a star here as their AC didn't work properly in my room and food options are really limited and there are nothing around. Beverages were a rip off. This resort is owned by an AV company called Mahajak which is also known for their monopoly and rip off in Thailand market. For an example a bottle of Chianti which would cost 45xx in a Marriott would easily cost you 76xx!!Everything else was perfect.
