We stayed in one of the first floor apartments of the chalet. The apartment was very nice: bedroom, kitchen+living area, bathroom with sauna, patio with dining area and sofa. Everything was clean and the place looks quite new. Kitchen is well equipped - you have everything you need to cook your own meals. There is a TV and a speaker system with bluetooth. Wifi works well.

Check-in is at the adjacten Mesikämmen hotel. The Ähtäri zoo is basically across the parking lot. Both have restaurants but for grocery shopping you need to go to the town center.

Very nice option for a quiet weekend trip.
