Lovely clean hotel. Fab shower, great double glazing, soundproofed from main road, very friendly helpful staff. My only gripe was we always put towels up high but they still put clean ones out,not saving the planet? But a fantastic 4 nights.

Room Tip: Very quiet if windows shut. Beefeater next door worth doing the £24.99 for meal deal, evening meal plus full English breakfast.

Have stayed in various Premier Inns and the quality is consistently good. My only minor gripe - and this was clear on the booking site - was that a twin room meant a double bed plus a sofa bed. Both were comfortable but a shame proper twins aren't on offer.

Choice of pillows, quiet air con, coffee tray, a TV that could be turned off properly (ie no red light all night), excellent lighting and plenty of parking. Friendly staff on reception. Good value. And good location on main road into Corby.

Unfortunately we stayed Bank Holiday Monday and the Beefeater breakfast on the Tuesday morning was probably the worst continental breakfast I've experienced in the last twenty years. Virtually no fresh fruit, no plain yoghurt, limp Danish pastries and - worst of all - only instant coffee, despite being part of a full restaurant.

Stayed here last night. Clean room. Breakfast was good too. Was a bit noisy from traffic otherwise all OK. Would stay here again. Suitable for all. Staff very helpful and didn't mind we turned up very late.

As you may see I have stayed in a few Premier Inn over the UK and this has to rate near the top of the "Purple Palaces".

It was clean and the room we had (19) took on the standard Purple Palace layout and size. The staff were very helpful and even wrote out a list of local taxi companies which were reliable.

Breakfast was served in the neighbouring Beefeater which was booked with the room and offered a great start to the day.

Didn't have a problem with any traffic noise and we all slept well.

Would certainly recommend this Purple Palace.
