The welcome and service were excellent. The dining room is spacious (tables not too close together), light and modern (but not aggressively so). The staff were charming and helpful. The menu is not huge but should cater for most tastes. The standard of cuisine was well above average and I was delighted with my meal (I can recommend the cod fillet). The wine list was excellent with choices and prices to suit all tastes. There were 'interesting' wines by the glass (eg gros manseng). Portion sizes were sensible. I shall eat there again and can recommend it to those who like a traditional approach to French cuisine but prepared in a contemporary way, with a degree of innovation.
