The team at Mellington Hall had their hands a bit full with a party of 32 of us for a belated Christmas family gathering. We had a great time all seated together in the bespoke function room, the food was lovely, with helpful smaller portions for the kids, and the chef was very accommodating and provided a vegan option (veggie chilli) for me, which was lovely, and much appreciated! Many thanks for a fantastic afternoon.

We had a lovely lunch here in early January 2018.
We had tipped off the staff that we were bringing an elderly lady (in her nineties) and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
There was an extensive menu available and also a choice of “light bites”but we were told we could pretty much have anything we wanted.
We had chicken sandwiches, chips and sweet potato chips and a cheese and ham panini.
Portions were large enough, so much chicken in the sandwiches, lovely to feel full!
For drinks we had coffees and the ever excellent 3 Tuns Three xxx beer, all was loveliness.
Of course the setting is relaxing and atmospheric with a roaring log fire and comfy armchairs, perfect for a midwinter lunch!
The only negative point was the Ed Sheeran song stuck on repeat in the bar. Now I can tolerate a bit of Ed Sheeran but two hours of Ed banging out “Perfect” was far too much for me and even the house corgi was crying out for a different song.

Good afternoon

Many thanks for taking the time to review your visit to Mellington Hall Hotel earlier in the month. We are delighted that you enjoyed your time spent with us and also enjoyed your winters lunch in front of our log fire.

However we can only apologise for Ed Sherran's stutter! We would have been more than happy to have cut him off if only we had realised he had got stuck!

We look forward to welcoming you back to Mellington Hall again very soon.

Kind regards.

I called last minute to book a table for 12 on Christmas eve for our daughters birthday and had no problems with our reservation. The staff were friendly and very patient. The food was piping hot, good quality and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

What can I say!! Didn't really want to leave a review for here as it's such a fabulous place. Stayed on the touring campsite but with full use of Mellington Hall. Everything is superb. Friendly people, great bar which is dog friendly. Went to the New Year Eve celebrations, left the dogs in the caravan, and it was the best value I have ever been to. The buffet was absolutely fantastic, had lovely warm comfy seats and the staff were brilliant.Only £20 per head, best buffet ever!! Will definitely be coming next year. The hall is so peaceful and comfortable, real old fashioned hotel. Spotlessly clean. Campsite is also extremely good. Great for dogs and their humans !! Please don't come here as we may not be able to get in next year !!!!!

We chose Mellington for a pre Christmas family get together. We were really pleased we did when we walked into the grand reception with a roaring fire going. We all chose turkey & it was delicious. My husband had the cheese board & the local welsh cheeses we’re fabulous.
Such a lovely atmosphere in the building, everyone was lovely & polite & couldn’t be more helpful.
Sat at the cosy fire we realised we’d been there for five & a half hours, it was so relaxing we could of stayed all evening too! Many thanks for making us feel welcome.
