We chose to reserve a table for an anniversary. When we arrived early we were welcomed and taken to sit and select our meals. There was a reasonable choice and we both were able to find a suitable selection. After being shown to a table we were not long in being served. The food was primarily Italian and extremely good, very tasty and nice sized portions. We both had three courses and found the price was extremely good for such a high quality meal. We travelled just over an hour to eat there and it was worth it all, we intend returning soon.

Just returned from a meal at the Pheasant. Tagliolini starter for my wife, salmone frutti della passione for myself. Both had beautiful flavours. We both had braciola neopolitana as main which was fantastic, then my wife for dessert had apple crumble with pecan nuts and amaretti ice cream whixh she loved. I had lemon and rosemary syrup pudding with frozen basil yoghurt which was unbelievably good.
Its not an easy place to find but it's definitely worth the effort and the owners and staff are incredibly welcoming. You might not recognise the dishes but they are well worth trying.

We visited on a wild evening in September. It wasn’t busy, but we were made to feel welcome at all times. We both had a starter and a main, and all were lovely, with nice wine too. We were tempted by the pudding menu, but were just too full!
