Found this pub by chance as we were having a gentle walk.
Popped in for a quick pint of Pedigree and checked the menu.
Absolutely fantastic food. Roast beef lunch with all the trimmings, and traditional puddings too.
Service was friendly and welcoming and the surroundings are everything you would expect from a village pub.
The rest of the menu looks amazing and we look forward to coming back to try more of their delicious food.
A gem in the peaks.

Nice pub tucked away in a small village , both serving girls very polite and attentive making the service very good. Food was good in the main , Misses liked her Chicken in Stilton Sauce and the Lamb was good , only a personal preference but a little chewy for me... Plentiful portions ...
The Baileys cheesecake however was very sweet and no sign of the Baileys or Whiskey just a very sweet mousse... sadly so sweet couldn't be eaten ...
We left slightly earlier than anticipated as the small dining area soon filled and there were 16 guests in there when we left , felt a little overcrowded under the present circumstances...

Proper family run pub. Lovely location with walks around beautiful surrounding countryside. Had 2 hearty appetising meals when on holiday for a week in the Peak District. Fully recommend for the personal touch from Justin and family .

Ate here 3 times in our week stay in Chelmorton and not once were we disappointed. Owner is friendly and staff very helpful. Has an amazing choice on the menu and the specials board changes on a regular basis so plenty of choice. They even had a pub quiz on Monday night... we didn’t win!! Highly recommended and we will come back if in the area in the future.

We were fortunate enough to secure a booking in the Cottage attached to this fantastic pub / restaurant so it made good sense to try the pub with our two Westies in tow ( dogs were allowed in the bar area ) and see what food was on offer. The fact that we never ate anywhere else all week speaks volumes. The Sunday roast was amazing and all the meals that the three of us tried through the week never disappointed. The starters and deserts were equally delicious ..... the diets start tomorrow !!!!
