We stayed in a studio apartment for 4 nights. The apartment was very well equipped and clean. It has everything we needed for our stay. and was right next to the ferry port which is ideal for a day trip to Tarbert.
We used the spa facilities a few times and loved doing so, felt so relaxing and not too busy due to limited numbers.
Breakfast each morning was delicious, good quality product and a quick service. Ate dinner twice and really couldn't fault it or the staff. Loved sitting at night overlooking the marina with drinks, so stunning, it felt like you were abroad. It was a bit restrictive on your day to book time slots for everything, but in these times, it is understandable the need to do so. The only thing I was disappointed in is only one restaurant was available. Given it is quite remote, to also have the choice of the spa cafe and lodge would have been much better. However, perhaps there was a good reason these were closed, again given the times we are in.
Would recommend Portavadie as a play to visit if you want a nice luxury feeling experience and also as a base to explore Argyll coast.More
