Dear taniyasaa,

Thank you for your feedback. We take our guests feedback extremely seriously and will be taking action on many of your observations.

We will handle this issue immediately. This might be because of the high humidity during the storm week when we have heavy rains everyday. We can instantly improve by replacing the pillows from the stock.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. We wish to welcome you back once again and show that we improve.

Regards,

River Kwai Jungle Rafts

Here’s the best natural resort at Kanchanaburi, with good service. The accommodation is very natural no electricity and poor internet service. However, you can absorb true nature. Hide from noisy in the city and come here to relax your self.

I had a two nights escape. Stunning place from A to Z. I enjoyed my time thoroughly.

It’s a no electricity resort which makes the resort unique. You can get some signals but gosh nice to switch off completely.

Food was nice and service was great.

The staff were lovely but I must say that Sam is a true and utter gentleman. He and the staff go out of their way to help with big massive smile on their faces.

For me, it was a great escape for two nights.

A few steps to the Mon village and worth knowing about their history

A dip in the river is refreshing.

I highly recommend the resort if you are looking for a unique experience.

Thanks a million Sam and the staff. You defo made my stay memorable. It’s defo a lovely welcome to me as I just moved in Thailand a month ago.

Actually, we were impressed by the welcoming staff. he was very informative and helpful. however, when compare quality of accommodation and service it is not worth the price you paid. because the room is decorated with very rustic and wild style and lack of safety which causes an uncomfortable bedtime. especially the window if you are worried about your belongings, you can choose either close the one and only window to protect your belongings and have a hot sweaty night coz the wind cant get through or open the window widely and have a bad sleep worried about your belongings coz there is no mosquitos net/filter screen at the window. the resort is located deeply in the jungle. the service and operation could be more eco-friendly. they should replace oil lamp with recharging or solar cell lamp coz Lamp oil is dangerous if ingested because you could aspirate it into your lungs, possibly leading to breathing problems and pneumonia, according to the National Capital Poison Center, USA and could catch fire easily. shampoo and shower gel should be made of organic or environmental friendly substances as well. for facility, They should relocate walkway to the back of raft to avoid disturbing guests who chill on a hummock. for on board meals, if we don't except much it was ok. dinner was decent and acceptable but for breakfast they could have prepared something more local or fresher. for instant, they should make smoothie bowl with local fruit served with boiled egg or omelette which is healthier, lower cost and easier for them to prepare. therefore, it is not worth your money if you have to pay with normal price at 3000 - 4000 thb even for a promotion I got with 1800 thb just value for only one time visit.

Dear 612patimak,

Thank you for sharing your opinions.

It is the concept of the product. However we could clarify to other readers as follows;
- There is already a cloth curtain in each room. This helps to blind your belongings and ventilate the air.
- There are no mosquitoes on the rafts. We do not really need the mosquito net unless for decoration.
- Battery from charging solar cells could harm the environment more. They do not last very long too. This is still a debatable topic.
- Yes, shampoo and shower gel is environmental friendly, although it is not pure organic.
- For breakfast we have that you suggested and even many more.

To point out the value of the booking, the value you got was a very good deal as per our costs of roundtrip boat transfers and 2 all-you-can-eat meals for 2 persons are already included.

It might not be everyone taste but we do recommend to experience the 'disconnected' world you may have already forgotten.

Kind regards,

River Kwai Jungle Rafts

Not a luxury resort but had a great time enjoying beautiful nature without smartphone bothering. This place is very cozy even though with no electricity and limited mobile signals. We may be lucky going there in rainy season as so the weather was not hot and very agreeable.

Dear Chaka_Dmb,

Thank you for your recent stay at River Kwai Jungle Rafts and for sharing your experiences to other travelers.

Indeed, choosing not to use electricity here is actually because of the conservation of our unique concept and atmosphere. It is where you are not 'connected' to hassle time during daily work life. It is your time to stay with nature and appreciate it.

There is no many place where you can see the stars. As they are blind by the artificial lights in the cities.

We are thankful that you love our style and understand it. We look forward to welcome you back in the near future.

Regards,

River Kwai Jungle Rafts
