We stayed at Baan PhuPha for one night and had such a lovely time. Nestled amidst beautiful valley (only 500 metre from the famous Hup Pa Tat cave and Khao Pla Ra mountain range), serene ambiance of the resort makes a perfect getaway from hustles and bustles of city life. The old guy who is the caretaker of the venue is very kind, friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to recommending nearby tourist sites.
In terms of resort facilities, everything is basic - TV, air-con, big bed. However, there's no closet, while the bathroom is quite small and there is no separation between the toilet and shower. So once you take a shower, everything is all wet.
The cons of Baan PhuPha is that the venue doesn't serve dinner and the nearest eatery is almost 10-minute drive to Amphoe Lan Sak. Therefore, bringing your own food for dinner is strongly advised (cutlery and utensils are available). Breakfast is toast with butter, porridge and coffee/tea.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend the place if you are a mountain lover looking for a peaceful holiday hideaway.
