This is a great place to go if you are interested in wildlife or photography. It was our first visit here but it won't be our last. The beauty of it is, you get to see mammals up close that are not always easy to see in the wild, which is a real treat. The red squirrels are beautiful and are actually quite friendly. All of the animals are very well looked after, i just felt that one or two of the enclosures are a little on the small side, but the animals do not seem to be upset or distressed in anyway.
They have talks through out the day given by the keepers, with information about the animals they have there. This is very good if you want to know about a particular species. The keepers are knowledgeable and friendly. On the website it states to give yourself at least three hours at the centre but you can easily stay the whole day without being bored.
There is a cafe if you choose not to bring a packed lunch and prices are reasonable. Also a gift shop selling the usual souvenirs etc.
Over all it was a really good day out and i would recommend it to anyone who loves wildlife and conservation.

I went here late Autumn 2017 for the first time and myself and the kids enjoyed it so much I upgraded to annual membership. It has been well worth it but is very worthwhile for a day visit. We usually spend 2-3 hours here and they have a good cafe on site too. Wrap up warm and if you can, stay for the Owls at the end of the day! My daughter likes it so much she chose for us to go there for her Birthday treat with one of her friends.

A large group of us arrived at the centre of a cold and windy March afternoon.
The centre holds a selection of indigenous British wildlife.
There are a set number of timed talks each held by the keeper responsible for the animals. These are very informative. One tip, in winter months put on an extra layer as it can be cold when standing listening.
Allow plenty of time for the respective talks and to tour the park. There is a cafe for teas. Coffees and warm/cold food.
We had a great day. Enjoyed the centre and the enthusiasm of the respective keepers.
Worthy of a second visit.

Hi my friends
This is a lovely place to show to the kids and teach about the wildlife and good spending weekend. I will come back summer time to find other animals don't like cold, even at February I find beautiful animals.
I like the way the animals get treated.
I really enjoy the day.

This was our first visit to the Wildlife Centre -got a great deal on Little Bird. Our daughters loved the foxes, otters, wildcats and we also we got to see a red squirrel. We took a packed lunch but the centre does have a cafe where you can but hot food. We had really good weather but as it is still February there were lots of the enclosures where the animals were not in view/in hibernation. Really impressed by the talks from the keepers who were really engaging and informative. In our view this is only really half a days fun/viewing and not a whole day as advertised.
