It was so horrible that we left. The rooms are old, dirty and in big need of maintenance. Pool is not inviting at all. The only plus is the beach. But that doesn't make up for the horrible condition of the hotel. It needsa lot of TLC. Will never go back.

Needs a little love/maintenance. I got a room which was full of spiders, and by spiders I mean huge nasty spiders that crawled all around every night. Bathrooms had hot water which was excellent, but there were small bugs everywhere. Food was pretty fine, most ingredients are grown on site. Pool wasn't very attractive, but the beach is awesome. Cell phone signal is non-existent in this area. My advise to owners is to put some love into the place, they have an awesome property, they only need to keep it clean, and pay attention to details. Also maybe wifi for guests since communication with the outside world is absolutely poor.

Went there at the end of May for a Wedding that was hosted there. Incredible service, attention, and especially the food. Felt so much a part of the family there, that I felt like (but of course didn't) lending a hand with washing the dishes, and helping to clean up after the meals. No A/C, but normally not needed with the ocean breeze and fans. Has on site back-up power generator. Rooms are a bit rustic, but the entire experience more than compensates for that. Besides, who spends their hours awake on the coast in their room anyway? Hammocks are installed on private patios and porches for catching an afternoon nap in the ocean breeze. Couldn't be a more nicer family running the place, and their staff as well. Some of the hardest working, and most accommodating folks that I've ever encountered. The sisters (owners) speak good English too.

Room Tip: Call ahead before traveling there, especially during holiday periods, to ensure availability.

Great place to relax and enjoy the coast of Ecuador if trying to get away from the party atmosphere that has taken over many other beaches. Amazing food and many options for day trips and activities. Nice, close drive from Quito. Have enjoyed this place on a variety of occasions and recommended to numerous friends and family who have also enjoyed and returned. A little pricey for the area, however, worth it, especially if you get one of the better rooms. Rooms do vary a lot, so ask to see room before confirming reservation. Don't miss Valentina's amazing cooking!

If you would like to be away form everything and above of all not "connect it", this is the place.
Try to travel at weekdays, look for promotions at @cocosololodge
Food simple great, not other words to explain.
Rooms, clean and basic but enough to stay a couple of nights.
Not TV, not Internet = peace.
Great beach and palm trees, amazing sunsets.
The Coco Solo Hotel is lost in the XXI century.
