We had a fascinating tour of this family run business in the hill country of the golden triangle. Learnt all about how coffee is made and drank the outstanding results. Also had lovely meal in restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Growing coffee along the hillside grows along the canyon. The canyon has a coffee tree, even in summer, it is foggy and cool.

I had read reviews and thought this will be fun and I like coffee. The drive up was great however thats where it ends for me. Their was no one around except for the staff selling coffee the academy was closed for some sort of meeting I walked around and found a couple of workers that explained to me that they were removing the flesh and skins in the water vats and the extent of my experience. If you are going to advertise yourself as the place to come to lern about coffee, then someone should be there to do it. Very disappointed.

Came here with my tour group and our guide showed us the coffee berry, the remove of the husk and the drying process. Local farmers have formed a co-operative to grow coffee rather than opium. Excellent coffee bar and seating to enjoy the view and locally produced coffee and tea.

Intimate human and coffee relationship has been practice as a culture worldwide. This is a must visit if one is doing the northern loop adventure. It might sound a little taxing to drive up a 1200m ASL to enjoy a cup of freshly brew coffee.
However, a scenic treat of layered mountainous and lake along the way before reaching the Academy. Upon reaching, most probably you will be greeted with a huge field of yellowish dried coffee berries on the floor and that is priceless.
There is a cafe which blend into the surrounding nature where a cup of latte or cappuccino ease the trip’s fatigue. Take a walk into the berries field and factory to exploit the intimacy to new heights.
Enjoy people.
