This was my favourite BnB of my entire trip! Martin and Carmel are so lovely and I very much enjoyed their company and hospitality. The bedroom was immaculately clean and our private bathroom was large and beautiful (be sure to ask for assistance to turn on the shower though, I didn't realize there was a button to push and ended up having to have a bath, lol). The house is not right in Doolin (quick car ride away) but still a wonderful location if you love the views of the Irish countryside. We woke up to a cocking rooster and a mooing cow which was quite delightful for a city girl like me! A couple of the BnBs have similar names so make sure you map out where you're going beforehand so that you won't have a problem finding it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

stayed here for two nights to tour around and meet up with our relatives from canada.
carmel made us feel like one of their family from the start. she couldnt do enough for us
the farmhouse has excellent views over the country. the rooms are large and comfortable, bathroom is huge. quite a rural setting, and thats part of its charm. its on a large site, plenty of parking and all the guests become part of the family very quickly. Carmel and martin are great hosts and always want to help.
Ive read some of the other revues and yes its 3 miles out of doolin, get a taxi, its not an issue. from doolin its easy to find. follow the signs for the art Studio, they are all over the place.
If I was lost, I,d ask anyone , they are bound to know Carmel, its that kind of a community. We visited many great places around here and will try to get back again. there really isnt anywhere else i,d stay. i,ll recommend this to anyone.

Room tip: above questions dont apply . Its clean, friendly B and B , great hosts, delicious home cooked food and hospitality. What more do you want??

Doolin Sunset would be great for folks seeking interesting banter with locals (Martin and Carmel are very gregarious), are traveling by car (free and ample parking) and perhaps with younger children (babysitting services and a play area), and are not concerned with being further away from the town center (make sure you have the GPS coordinates of the place). There are more reviews on booking.com, so you might want to check that site out as well for this B&B.

My father, brother, and I had a good stay there. It is 3 miles out from the town, which we were not expecting (we've been booking the night before each stay and with limited wifi connection and time, have not been crazy thorough with our research). We did not have the GPS coordinates for the B&B so we called and Carmel offered to have her son come meet us at the Church and show us the route, which was very sweet. We ended up being escorted by her elderly parents and young son.

The room was nice, clean, and well heated; the bathroom spacious. The breakfast was hearty and made to order. Martin and Carmel were very attentive. There are animals on the grounds, which is always fun--dogs and roosters and hens. The rooster crows in the morning but we didn't notice it. Martin pens him up far from the house. Great views looking down over the town and the Atlantic. I wish I had taken a photo of the sunset.

Things to consider:
1) If you want to be able to walk to the local pubs, this would not be a good place to book at, since it is 3 miles out.
2) If you're driving back to the B&B at night, be sure to have GPS or international data service, because you may have trouble finding your way there.
3) If you're more introverted or looking for more solitude, the chatty hosts may be a bit more challenging.
4) Watch your head in the upstairs room. Carmel warned me to watch my head but later that evening, I hit my head rather hard on the ceiling where the roof juts in. I am short and usually aware of my surroundings but I was also tired so my head was sore for a few days afterwards.

Room tip: Upstairs may not be the best for tall people, as the ceiling slants down with the roof.
