Carol was so welcoming

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 Sept 2014
We stayed one night at Doolin. It was nice to be able to walk to the visitor's center from the B & B. I was able to purchase a scarf at the Village Craft Store and it was absolutely a life saver as the weather that day and the next was windy with rain sometimes and very chilly. We had supper at a small cafe that was very tasty and filling. A nice cup of hot tea on a day like we had sure warms the inside. The landscape is very picturesque and we took several pictures. Later in the evening we were able to walk to Fitzpatrick's Pub for a couple of drinks and some Irish music. Carol provided a very comfortable room for us and in the morning made a wonderful breakfast. This was another ideal place to rest on our journey through Ireland.

Room Tip: The rooms are clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing, so much so we...

Doolin B&B is a cute little cottage that fits right in with its surroundings. Carole was very friendly with helpful suggestions about the area. Her B&B is well situated to both the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren.

We stayed at Doolin Cottage for one night and we were sorry we didn't plan for more time in The Burrin. This area of Ireland is a must see for explorers and lovers of rock and ocean. Doolin Cottage is situated perfectly, the rooms were spacious, the greeting warm and friendly, and we felt lucky to have stumbled on such a gem! Cannot wait to return..stop by OConnors pub for a pint, great food, and authentic Irish music.

It's not surprising to read the other reviews and see that others have enjoyed Doolin Cottage as much as we did. It's all true. Carol is a wonderful lady and we also felt like we said goodbye to a friend when we left. Every other place we stayed after we left there never held a candle to Carol's hospitality, warmth and her fabulous breakfast! Her recommendations about attractions, shopping, how to save money, etc. were spot on. She has other family members at local pubs and shops who were also just as delightful. Look for the other Carol, Carol's niece, the bartender at McDermott's pub. What a hoot!

the location, staff, breakfast and accommodations are perfect to enjoy the beautiful village of Doolin- we would stay here again in a heartbeat. We were in walking distance to great pubs and restaurants and the small town feel was refreshing after a few days in Dublin- will be back!
