Our double room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and Carol was a delight to chat with. We chose this B and B because of the location. We were able to walk down to catch the Ferry to see the Cliffs, which I recommend because parking near the Pier is difficult at times.
Also, we left some items behind and Carol very kindly mailed them to us. Thanks again!
We stayed 2 nights at Doolin Cottage. It is very conveniently located just of the main road in Doolin. Carol, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful; however we had a miscommunication about our arrival time, and she was not at the cottage when we arrived. We were jet-lagged and exhausted, and several in our party just couldn't keep their eyes open and finally fell asleep in the car till she arrived over an hour later. Rooms were clean and comfortable. However, this was a warm day and like most places in Ireland, is not air-conditioned. Our upstairs bedrooms were extremely hot and even with the windows open, not well-ventilated. We had difficulty sleeping, and finally had to open the bedroom door to get some fresh air. I would suggest that Carol purchase a couple of fans to put in the rooms for those rare warm Irish days. For breakfast, Carol offered an Irish breakfast, which all 4 of us ordered. Two members of our party had stomach trouble for the rest of the day -- not sure what caused it. The next day we ordered eggs, fruit and yogurt, and all were delicious.
Looking for a nice and comfortable B&B in Doolin? Consider Doolin Cottage. Although the number of B&B’s in and around Doolin is abundant, we first stopped at this place, knowing that there were lots of other possibilities. At first you might not expect what you get, but after we were welcomed by Carol (the lady who runs this place) who showed us one of the rooms, we did not hesitate to take it. A nice, spacious and clean room on the ground floor with a good bed and a splendid bathroom. The walking distance to Doolin Pier is less than ten minutes. Breakfast in the morning makes a happy start of your day. If you’re by car, there’s enough space on the yard in front. For us Doolin Cottage was value for money and next time we’re here we shall definitely return to this place.
the doolin cottage is perfectly located in the centre of a small village. 3 minutes walking to the main pubs and just 15 to the ferries to the aran islands!! in 10 minutes by car you can also reach the cliffs of moher. Carol was very kind and her breakfast wonderful. a small but nice and cleaned room.
The room was tidy and comfortable. I honestly think it's impossible to find a better place to stay in Doolin for that price.
The breakfast was good and I must mention that the coffee was the best one we had during our stay in Ireland. The owner was also very helpful and friendly. She actually took us by car to our bus stop! :)
