Such a wonderful peaceful place to go. This was my 2nd visit and i was just as impressed as i was the 1st time.
This is a most beautiful place to visit, see the lovely blue pool, walk along the waters edge, take in the fresh air and listen to the birdsong. benches situated all around so plenty of time to sit and relax. Excellent tea rooms dogs welcome on leads, ideal for any age group and families.
We had a lovely walk around Blue Pool, and then we went to the cafe. The hot meals were awful. We ordered the shepherds pie and lasagne. I am very sure they were the cheapest of ready meals popped into the microwave, very unappetizing and definitely not worth the price we paid for them.
The rest of my family ordered the cream tea, and this was also very disappointing. The scones were extremely small, like little miniatures.
The atmosphere of the tea room, was not very nice either, very cold and stark.
We so wish wish we had read the reviews of the tea room before spending our money here!
If you want somewhere peaceful, tranquil and relaxing to visit, this is the place to go to.The pool and surrounding trees are very photographic, so take your camera. A slow walk around the pool taking in all the various views and different colours of the pool is a good way to spend your time. If you want a longer walk there is always the forest walk as well, which takes you away from views of the pool. The tea room is nothing special but ideal for refreshments after your walk, albeit quiet expensive.
Blue pool is a beautiful place, it was quite hard to find but when we arrived we had a warm welcome. The tea house is very cute. It rained when we were there but the pool looks surprisingly amazing in the rain! Exploring the walkways was fun and there are benches too, and even a little sandy beach bit. Highly recommend
States it is wheelchair accessible. Whilst true, it is far from wheelchair friendly. The paths are rough at best, soft and almost impossible to push a wheelchair on at worst. This is not helped by the poor quality map guide, and even worse signposting.
At the best view point, a wheelchair user's view is blocked by the fencing!
