At the end of July last year Leenane Hotel was our choice of hotel accommodation in Connemara for two nights and it did not disappoint us. Our room was perfectly adequate for our needs. We dined at the pub downstairs on both nights and the fish dishes especially were delicious. The village of Leenane is tiny but surprisingly the village and its surroundings kept us busy. A special mention goes to the Leenane Sheep and Wool Centre which turned out to be an exceptionally interesting and pleasant experience.

Single room for long bank holiday weekend hiking , room comfortable and good , not luxury but met all my needs. Food was perfect , not haute cuisine but decent no fuss meals.

Leenane has to be seen to be appreciated , absolutely stunning views, unlimited places to hike , nestled between mountains and Killarney Fjord . Should be on all bucket lists!

Room Tip: Noisy between floors - maybe higher up floors better

Leenane remains one of the quieter towns. They have a good restaurant with a nice pub. You can walk the Killary Famine Walk from the hotel but it might take a few hours. It is breathtaking and a real respite from the world. Rooms are comfortable, the hotel is old but faces the water and quiet.

This is a great hotel in one of the most amazing parts of Ireland to visit. The hotel has an old world charm and it was nice to relax in the lounge in front of the fire chatting with other guests. The view from our room was spectacular across the fjord. It has everything in one place bar, restaurant and hotel. The food was excellent and well priced. If you going to enjoy Connemara then this is the perfect place to stay
