my golf foursome stayed at moy house while playing lahinch. what a class act! brid o'meara and her staff went out of their way to expedite the delivery of our clubs which we had shipped ahead and got stuck at customs. despite arriving very early in the morning, they gave us a room to freshen up and leave our luggage. the chef came in early to prepare a fantasic breakfast. we went off to play and returned to our lovely rooms, free wifi, great baths, and a wonderful dinner. chef came in early again to accomodate us the next morning. we were able to leave our luggage at moy while we played lahinch again. multiple times, brid and the staff went over the top to be gracious and helpful. worth every cent! michael [the concierge]

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the sea

Can't say enough about this place especially the excellent staff especially, Brid & Caroline.

Stayed here August 5th for a special occasion and i couldn't have asked for it to go better.
Brid was fantastic even when i booked, asking was it a special occasion, when i informed her i was going to propose that night, she upgraded us to The Well Room.

On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Caroline, who showed us around the house. We both really loved the atmosphere of the place, very relaxed & friendly. We were even shown the Kitchen where we could help ourselver to some nice cold beers. These could then just be payed for on checkout.

The room was absolutely gorgeous, very elegant with a huge bed. There was an adjoining room with a couch and tv and a patio door that opened straight into the back garden with a path down to the beach. The bathroom was also huge with a glass floor in one section where you could see where the original well was.

That night we ate in the restaurant and the food and service was fantastic.Caroline ensured very discreetly that everthing was going perfect. We were able to take a break between main & dessert and went back to our room, where they had left the champagne i ordered, but also very nicely had laid out a large rose petal heart on the bed. What a nice thing to do!

We had a fantastic nights sleep and enjoyed a very tasty breakfast the next morning which we were able to enjoy at our leisure. I never once felt the whole weekend like we were being rushed as you can feel in large hotels.

We met Brid that morning and she was so friendly and genuinely excited for us.

To conclude all i can say is, what a fantastic place to stay, you will not feel more welcome in a hotel anywhere else.

Thanks Brid & Caroline & all the staff at Moy House.

Looking back on our summer trip around Ireland I feel I must praise Moy House. I have been lucky to have travelled around the world and stayed in wonderful hotels but I have to say that our short visit has put Moy House right at the top! Wonderful cuisine in a sublime setting. Push the boat out and sample the quality.

What a gorgeous spot for a beautiful place. As you drive up the winding roads, one can see this large white structure standing high and alone on a rolling green hill. We were greeted by Breed, the general manager who did everything in her power to make us comfortable which she did. Our room was very nice and looked out on the ocean. Dinner was very good the night it was offered.Breakfast was also served and they had a nice variety of items to choose.
They have a sitting room where an honor bar is set up which is a nice touch should you want a drink. That room is very peaceful as is the whole house. We had just a super feeling being there for 2 days since it was so quiet. Outside we could see two horses playing with each other and having the time of their life. I would highly recommend Moy House.....

Approaching Moy House you pass through the ugly new construction that characterizes the excesses of the Celtic Tiger years. If you can forget that (not easy) Moy House itself has a great setting and our view from the Well suite was indeed superb. But at 360 euros a night the suite is overpriced - one can hear footsteps and noise from the room above; the sink did not drain properly; one of the faucets was loose, rain leaked through the stone wall on one side of the suite. Dinner was good but not outstanding; the young chef working alone meant service was slow and again at 55 Euros per person overpriced. The best thing by far is the breakfast which was excellent. And of course the staff was very nice, but so was everyone we met in Ireland.
