“Sleepless night”
Reviewed 11 June 2011

Like the last reviewers we had a sleepless night as the walls are so thin. The laughter and swearing went on for hours. Breakfast was fine and included in the rate but we have stayed in a lot of better value places

if you are thinking of staying here be warned the noise from the nightclub opposite when people are leaving was really bad. wall between rooms were paper thin and there was screaming and shouting going on all night, when we called reception they did nothing about it.we did not pay for that night as we sat on our beds the whole night with a long journey to face next day.

At 90 euro a night (breakfast included) we were expecting something a lot better than what we received. The room was freezing cold at all hours of the day. The heating system wasn't working in the room. I ended up getting food poisoning at some point during our stay in Lahinch, so I wasn't feeling up to having a cold room to rest in. The shower curtain was moldy and I was quite bothered by this because it's one of the easiest, cheapest things to replace to freshen up the bathroom. The "free wifi" didn't work unless you were in the bar/restaurant so that was a pain since our next B&B had to close due to a death in the family, so we had to make arrangements via internet. Oh ya, and my pillow had piles of dust on it. It must have been tossed on the floor while housekeeping was making our bed, and collected the dust somehow.

Great value at €49 per room per night. Staff were very nice and the bar food was lovely. The room was small and basic but clean. Tea/ Coffee making facilities, not much else. The bed was very comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was clean but in no way modern and could do with being updated. Over all we had a good experience. 5min walk from the beach.located smack bang in the center of town.
