We booked a night at the Bunratty Manor Hotel prior to our departure from Shannon Airport, which is about a 10 minute drive away. The hotel far exceeded our expectations, starting with the warm greeting when we arrived. We had a first floor room (stairs to second floor) that was very spacious, well decorated, and clean with a large flat screen TV. It had a superb bathroom, with separate room for toilet, double sink, deep bath and a walk-in shower. For dinner there is an outstanding restaurant, and for breakfast a nice continental spread (could be extra depending on how room is booked) with a option to order cooked breakfast. The front desk was very helpful in arranging taxi to the airport. Overall, it was one of the most enjoyable hotel stays that I have had.

Room tip: First floor unless you don't mind stairs.

We had a family dinner on Saturday evening last to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The menu was excellent and had something to suit everyone..the kids menu was also great. Everything we had from steak, lamb, trout and risotto were all fantastically cooked and presented..starters and deserts were also superb. The staff were wonderful and so pleasant and friendly..it was a great evening and everyone loved it..thanks so much to noel and staff for making it a night to remember..looking forward to a return visit very soon

The rooms were small and furnishing very dated. The restaurant was closed on Monday.
The staff was very nice. The gardens out back were beautiful. The castle also does not have it's usual performances on Monday. Would probably not stay there again. The Gallagher Pub across the street was the best. Big, friendly, with great food !

Room tip: Be sure to check the room first. The first one we looked at had a strong septic smell.

Visited the restaurant with my parents, aunt, cousin, husband and children. Staff were lovely and accommodating, the setting was nice however we found the food a bit expensive for what it was. It was nice but not amazing. The dessert, however, was one of the specials and was delicious. I don’t think I would go back though

We gathered last Friday night to celebrate my sisters 60th and we had a fabulous dinner . The a la carte menus catered for every taste. Signs on we had six different main courses for the eleven of us. Sirloin steaks , surf n turf , hake , sea trout , beef cheek , chicken!
Each was excellently presented, superbly cooked and service was attentive , timely and unobtrusive. Vegetables were included , all fresh and locally sourced.
The kitchen and waiting staff working well together to allow us to really savour the food and celebrate my sisters birthday.
Thanks to Noel and the Manor team.
