“Wonderful irish gastro pub”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

Great food , wonderful service and terrific ambiance, steak cooked to perfection , quality meat and nice size portion , the service was excellent and friendly , professional and the kitchen backed that up , seriously the creamery is the templet for all aspiring irish gastro pubs , couple of small points no one should be offered a stool for dinner one of our 5 were and the table sauces were not premium quality change brands , but this was an A+ dining experience , the lolly for the kids leaving was a great touch

“Nice place”
Reviewed 6 December 2013

We were staying at a bed and breakfast nearby on Nov 18 of this year, and this was one of the places our host had recommended for dinner. He had recommended another place before The Creamery, but we drove right past it....we were more interested in Bunratty Castle being all lit up in front of us. Being a Monday evening in November, there wasn't a whole lot of other people there, but that's not always a bad thing! We had our food (Guninness Stew and fish and chips, both very good choices)and beverages served quickly, got talked into a phenomanal Bailey's cheesecake for dessert, and had a few more pints while shooting the breeze with the bartender. (I believe his name was Darren or Derek or something close to those) There was a pretty decent collection of fire and police patches behind the bar, which we met up with the owner in the morning to add my department's patch to as well. Would highly recommend going there if you're in west Ireland; we will definately be making another vistit!

“Friendly staff, good beer”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

Visited this after a couple at another nearby pub, and found that while they did not have Beamish on tap that night, the Guinness (and Jameson) poured just as well. Friendly staff, and an easy walk (or stumble) to the Bunratty Castle Hotel. Well worth a visit

“A very impressive bar and good deal simple quick lunch”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

We didn't have time for a full hot lunch or dinner as advised upon departing Bunrattty Castle ground heading north, but we stopped in for a solid enough special at a fine price: choice of three soups (we each chose an excellent favorite of ours on the trip in smooth root veggie bowls , two sandwiches, (again triple choice though each was simple and in keeping with tradition proper to both the U.K. and Ireland, a bit sparse in ingredients.

The (ham and) chedder was expectedly not generous but the cheese was of excellent quality. (American sandwiches tend to be, in comparison, quite loaded with whatever's ordered almost everywhere. It's a culturally normative difference more than anything, I imagine.) Total for two of us was, given the setting, an Irish impressively inexpensive E 8.50 each. We saw impressive hot plates go by and were convinced one could have a fine full blown meal here.

Incuded in the price, surprisingly enough, was a choice of hot coffee or tea and refills on either.
