Charley's Cafe
Ranked #74 of 112 Restaurants in Letterkenny
Cuisines: Irish
Description: I suggested this restaurant earlier but did not get a response. It is a friendly, family run business that has fantastic fish and chips. They are fresh chips, not the frozen kind which was a lovely surprise.

Great food, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Its a pity I didnt stumble upon Charleys earlier in my visit to Donegal. Will certainly be returning here during my next visit to the region.

They sometimes close at 7pm so they get full marks for serving me at 6:59 and 45 seconds. No rolling eyes to heaven, just polite, charming, typically Donegal-style service. Fish and chips cooked to order and they were good. Big chunky old-style chips with just that right amount of grease and two fillets of white fish in a light batter. A bit of a throwback in double paperbags to take away and all the better for it. Simple, filling, good food st a good price. Would gladly use again but probably not everynight. Regards to Charley.

Great food, reasonably priced. Fish and chips with a pot of tea it hit the spot on a damp, cold Saturday afternoon. It is quite busy but don't let that put you off, the staff work hard to get the food out as quick as possible
