My lovely wife got this trip for us both on a deal for two nights. We found the hotel absolutely lovely. A grand reception area with very warm reception staff. Now i know people say that's what they are paid for however we have travelled well enough to spot the difference of genuine demeanour and scripted. When going to and from our room the cleaning staff were also very friendly and greeted us every time.
The restaurant in the hotel is well priced and well decorated. some hotel restaurants are bit cramped but not this one. Although not full when we ate our meal we still could have a chat while eating and did not feel closed in. The serving staff again were very attentive and welcoming. The lighting and atmosphere in the dining room was great
Decoration throughout the hotel is of a high standard. There is a swimming pool and gym although note you must wear a cap to use the pool.
The hotel rooms are very spacious with two king size double beds and a bed settee, The room is well decorated, not many tv channels and where our room was the wifi was all but absent but you know that's ok because we had to put our phones aside and that's not a bad thing.
The location of hotel is very close to Letterkenny main town, i walked it in to the town both mornings we stayed. It is also on the main route to the west of country. The roads are very busy around the hotel.
Now if you are thinking of going to the area on a public holiday most shops and activities are closed for the day, so check out if you have specific plans if the facility is open, however just go for a drive the surrounding countryside is stunning.
We loved our stay at the Clanree and we will be back again.

Great hotel staff very friendly and great service...room are lovely very tidy....leisure centre great and great for kids... love this hotel always stay in clanree and bot far from the town centre...also great wee farm and butterfly garden with mini zoo with a play area and picnic area kids love it highly recommended

Hotel was lovely, we only had a short stop over but it was everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, variety, clean and tasted great. Reception staff could have been a bit more welcoming and pleasant.

hotel was very nice and the wedding we had there was amazing the food and service was lovely aswell. the rooms had been cleaned to a high standard. we enjoyed our stay very much. the only negative was the reception staff as they were quite cold and not very friendly.
